School Fees

Fee Policies

Payment Schedule & Responsibility

Tuition fees are due on the first day of each month. Please note that parents remain responsible for the payment of school fees, regardless of whether the fees are actually paid by their employers or any other third party.

Direct Debit

It is mandatory for all students to settle tuition fees by Direct Debit. The Direct Debit Authorisation Form will be provided to you on registration day, or sent to you by email.

Statements & Receipts

Statements of account will be sent to parents monthly as a reminder. However, official payment receipts will only be issued upon request. Please contact us at admin@sshk.edu.hk if a receipt is required.

Overdue Payments & Exclusion

If fee payments are overdue, students may be excluded from school. Once excluded, students will not be permitted to re-enrol unless all outstanding fees have been fully repaid. All fees, levies, deposits and charges relating to student admissions will still apply to students re-applying or returning to the school after exclusion.

Term-Time Leave & Mid-Year Entry/Exit

Fees remain payable if a student takes leave during term time. If a student leaves or is admitted partway through the school year, attendance on any day in a particular month renders school fees payable for the entire month.

Withdrawal

For withdrawal, families should send a withdrawal letter to admin@sshk.edu.hk at least three calendar months before the last attendance date.

For end-of-year withdrawal, the school requires notice on or before 1 April.

Change of Details

Please ensure the school is notified promptly of any change of address, telephone number, or designated bank account for Direct Debit.

School Fees

Capital Levy

The Capital Levy is a mandatory contribution introduced to build a capital reserve for the school’s long-term development projects. It directly funds large-scale emergency repair works (e.g., spalling concrete), facility upgrades, major renovations, and advanced educational technology, benefiting the learning experience of every student.

Payment Options

Parents can choose between paying an annual or a one-off Capital Levy.

Payment Schedule

New Students: The Capital Levy must be paid alongside the admission deposit when accepting an offer of a school place. The recurrent Annual Levy will be charged with the first tuition fee instalment.

Continuing Students: The Annual Capital Levy is payable on or before the first day of the academic year. For new students joining after the start of the academic year, the Annual Levy will be invoiced pro-rata for the first year.

Key Terms and Conditions

Non-Refundable: The Capital Levy is not refundable if the student withdraws, is absent, or is suspended or expelled.

Non-Transferable: The levy is charged per student and cannot be transferred to a sibling or another student.

Mandatory: Payment is a mandatory condition of enrolment and re-enrolment for all students.

Governance: All funds are managed in a separate account by the School Management Committee and used solely for pre-approved capital projects.

Sibling Discount

A 50% discount on the Capital Levy is available for the third child and each subsequent child, provided that three or more children are enrolled concurrently at SSHK.

Contact

For any queries regarding the Capital Levy, please contact the School Bursar at admissions@sshk.edu.hk or +852 3955 1589.
